Frequently Asked Questions Q. What colors are the covers made in? A. Black only Q. What material is the cover made of? A. Panels - aluminum on the outside - EPS (Expanded Poly Styrene) on the inside. The hinges and outside channels are black anodized extruded aluminum. Q. Is the cover waterproof? A. The cover is water resistant - we do not guarantee the cover to be 100% waterproof. Q. Can the cover be repainted? A. Yes. Q. What does the warranty include? A. One year limited warranty supplied with each cover- on parts. Q. How strong are the panels? A. The panels are very strong and rigid, but we do not recommend standing on the cover. Q. I have a bedliner on my truck - does the bedliner have to be cut off? A. Only if it is over the rail. Q. Do the factory installed side rail bedliners on the 97+ Fords and the 99+ Super Duty Fords need to be removed? A. No. Q. How long does it take to install the Advance Cover? A. A first timer takes approximately 3 hours. An experienced installer will take approximately 2 hours. Q. Are any holes drilled in the truck? A. Yes - 9 small 3/16" diameter holes which are filled with rivets - some trucks require fewer holes drilled. The Toyota Tundra and the Ford Flair Side are drill-free. · 6 in the top of the rail by cab · 1 in the driver's side rail (on the vertical lip). · 2 in the tailgate (on the inside). Note: holes can be plugged by inserting rubber or plastic plugs (from auto parts stores).
